Heco Produções, one of Brazil's leading production companies, has arrived in Angola to film the second season of the documentary series “History of Food in Brazil”, inspired by the works of the writer Câmara Cascudo. This season focuses on Cascudo’s visit to Angola in the 1960s, where he was welcomed by Óscar Ribas, exploring the impact of this experience on the gastronomic cultures of both countries.
The 13-episode series will have Angola as its backdrop, with filming taking place in Luanda, Lubango, and Namibe. The partnership with Fundação Ovina Yetu will culminate in a journey to the Amazon, exploring the cultural and gastronomic connections between Angola and Brazil. Sílvio Nascimento is in charge of local cinematic consultancy, while Chef Helt Araújo stands out by sharing his extensive knowledge of Angolan cuisine.
